Yin Yoga + Meditation with Tibetan Bowl Sounds Wednesday’s 6pm – 7.30pm

 Description:

Slow yoga, the quiet practice. Yin yoga involves long holds in gentle postures, allowing body to release and relax deeply. Yin accesses the connective tissues (cartilage, tendons, fascia, bones and fluids). The resulting feeling is one of ease and lightness in the body, with greater flexibility of the joints. Yin yoga for deep relaxation of body and mind. A good practice to counterbalance the yang aspects of exercise, fitness and modern life. This practice seeks to relieve the effects of stress, tension, deep fatigue and adrenal exhaustion. Quietening the mind, deep relaxation and healing injuries. Restoring and balancing energy is the focus.

Practice includes calming pranayama, and stillness meditation.

Suitable for:

Yin yoga is suitable for everyone, beginner and advanced yogis, those with injuries, insomnia, stress or seeking to bring greater balance to a fast paced lifestyle.

Description:

Dynamic yoga flows based on the seasons. A synthesis of Hatha Yoga and Japanese Yoga (5 element theory), an energising uplifting vinyasa that harmonies mind/body with the season. Hatha practice balances sun and moon, male and female, yin and yang. Movement with breath practices, one gains strength, flexibility, balance and grace. Uplifting for body, mind and spirit. Leave feeling grounded, calm and renewed with vitality.

These classes are general in nature and are accessible to all.

Everyone is welcomed, suitable for all levels of experience.
